Our NextGen ROV team was founded in 2017 and consists of six juniors from different high schools in Salinas, CA. Our team was founded to give high schools students an opportunity to get hands-on experience, learn and prepare for technical careers in the future.

Our team will compete for the first time in the Monterey Regional MATE competition this May 2019 and hopefully move on to the international competition in June. 2018. We are a student-lead team and dedicate many hours throughout the weekdays and weekends into the team.

One of the goals as a team is to influence our high schools that we each attend to create their own team from their students.  By us bringing our skills and past knowledge from the NextGen team to help create the teams at our high schools. We hope to introduce to this amazing opportunity  to many other students in our community.
